It was a fantastic evening at the Scottish Wholesale Association Awards, a true celebration of the people and organisations driving Scotland’s logistics and wholesale sector forward.

Firstly, congratulations to Colin Smith and the entire Scottish Wholesale Association team for delivering such a professional, energising and well-run event. The night was a real credit to the sector and to the hardworking businesses that keep supply chains moving every day.

Celebrating Hardworking, Forward-Thinking Fleet Leaders

For éXō Fleets, the evening was about more than awards. It was about conversations.

We had the privilege of meeting fleet managers, logistics leaders and operational teams who are navigating one of the most significant periods of change our industry has ever experienced. Rising costs. Mixed-fuel fleets. Multi-site operations. Increasing decarbonisation targets. Margin pressure. Operational complexity.

Yet the energy in the room was not one of challenge, it was one of ambition.

Across every conversation, there was a clear commitment to:

  • Improving cost control and operational visibility

  • Making practical, commercially sound sustainability decisions

  • Future-proofing fleets without disrupting service performance

  • Turning data into smarter, faster decision-making

The innovation mindset across Scotland’s fleet community is strong, and growing.

Talking About the Future of Fleets

The future of fleet isn’t a single technology shift. It’s intelligent management of complexity.

Mixed fuels. Diesel, HVO, EV.
Different vehicle classes.
Multiple depots.
Energy and charging infrastructure layered into operations.

The conversations we had reinforced something we firmly believe at éXō Fleets:

The fleets that win will be the fleets that can see clearly.

Clear cost-per-mile.
Clear vehicle utilisation.
Clear depot-to-depot performance comparisons.
Clear Total Cost of Ownership modelling before capital decisions are made.

The appetite for practical, data-led solutions was evident throughout the evening.

Stronger Together with NEOT

It was particularly special to attend alongside our partners at NEOT, and to celebrate the power of collaboration with Philip Valarino and the wider team.

Because real progress in fleet decarbonisation doesn’t happen in isolation.

It happens when:

  • Data platforms integrate with funding solutions

  • Fleet strategy aligns with energy infrastructure

  • Operational insight supports capital deployment

  • Partnerships move from theory to execution

Collaboration is what turns strategy into real-world progress.

Looking Ahead

Alan Crowley, Kevin Christopher and the entire éXō Fleets team left the evening energised by the conversations, the ambition and the openness to innovation across the sector.

Scotland’s fleet and wholesale community is not standing still. It is actively shaping the future.

We are already looking forward to the next Scottish Wholesale Association event, and to continuing to support fleet operators with:

Data | Insighs | Savings

The future of fleets is being built now. And it was a privilege to be in the room with the people building it.
