From College to the Workplace: My Journey as a Data Analyst at éXō Fleets

When I finished college and began my career at éXō Fleets, I knew I was stepping into a fast-moving industry where data and technology are reshaping how fleets operate. Now, nearly two years later, I can see just how much I’ve grown, both professionally and personally, by being part of such an innovative and supportive team.

Building on a Strong Foundation

My college years gave me a solid grounding in statistics, programming and data analytics. Much of my work focused on theory, analysing datasets, building models and learning how to interpret complex information.

But stepping into the real world of fleet operations quickly showed me that data becomes far more powerful when it is used to solve real operational challenges.

Learning by Doing

Joining éXō Fleets meant moving from theory into practice very quickly. From day one, I was working on real projects and learning how our platform turns complex fleet data into clear insights for customers.

Whether analysing telematics data, helping optimise fleet performance or contributing to the development of our data platform, every project has been an opportunity to expand my skills and see how analytics can directly improve operational decision-making for fleets.

Learning from an Innovative Team

One of the most rewarding parts of my experience has been the people I work with. At éXō Fleets I’ve had the opportunity to learn from an incredibly talented team across engineering, data science and fleet operations.

The culture here encourages collaboration, curiosity and continuous learning. Even as someone early in my career, I’ve been trusted to contribute ideas and take ownership of meaningful work.

Having leadership that supports that growth also makes a huge difference. Our CEO, Alan Crowley, has built an environment where innovation is encouraged and where young professionals are given the opportunity to develop their careers alongside experienced industry leaders.

Looking to the Future

Being part of éXō Fleets during such an exciting period of growth has been incredibly motivating. The work we are doing, combining data, technology, and operational insight, is helping fleets operate more efficiently and transition towards more sustainable transport.

For me personally, the two years has been a steep and rewarding learning curve. I’m excited to keep developing my skills, learning from the team around me, and contributing to the next generation of fleet intelligence solutions.

Let’s keep the conversation going.
